Facials                                                                                    Special of the Month

Facials are not only good for your skin, but also a relaxing experience that is good for your mind. A facial gives a glow to tired-looking skin and makes you look healthier. This 5-step at home facial can benefit everyone's skin. Do this once a week.

Cleansing - Always start your facial with a good cleansing. Use a gentle cleanser and wash your face and neck.  Our Alpha cleanser is an exceptional papaya fruit acid cleanser that eases away dull surface cell.  It Contains salicylic acid, which stimulates skin and promotes cell renewal.  This gentle cleanser also contains unique enzymes and skin softening properties leaving skin smooth and supple. Ideal for all skin types, especially combination or T-Zone skin. Excellent for use as a stimulating body cleanser.

Exfoliate - Exfoliating removes the top layer of dead skin and helps prepare skin to absorb moisture better. Always be careful when using a facial scrub. You don't want to scrub too hard. A peel off mask can also exfoliate.

Steam - Pour boiling water in a large bowl and add herbs to it. Parsley is great to use. Rosemary, chamomile, etc. are others you can try. Hold your face a comfortable distance from the bowl and drape a towel over your head to make a tent to grab the steam. Steam your face for five minutes. This will soften the top layer of skin.

Masks - Apply a mask that is designed for your type of skin. If you have sensitive skin, use a product with chamomile. If you have oily skin, rosemary or sage is for you. Normal skin will benefit from rose or lavender. Clay masks draw out oil, dirt and impurities.  We have Gree Tea Mask and our lovely Pumpkin Mask.

Moisturizing - Last, but not least, use your favorite moisturizer. The 4 steps before this step prepares your face to absorb the moisturizer easier. A moisturized face is a face that shows age less.

There are different type of facials for different types of skin.

Deep Cleansing - A deep pore cleansing facial is usally what most people get when asking for a facial. This type includes exfoliation, extraction, massage, masks, and moisturizing.

Extra-Hydrating - If your skin is extremely dry, this type of facial is for you. The treatment is filled with moisture-rich items that are designed to drench skin that is dry.

Anti-Aging - This type of facial is a little more involved and advanced than the regular facials. Ingredients used are alpha or beta-hydroxy acids and vitamin C to smooth out the fine lines that are on the skin. Special massage techniques are used to stimulate blood flow to the surface.

Acne Facials - These facials use gentle ingredients to cleanse, normalize and equalize the skin. These are designed to prevent more acne outbreaks.

Aromatherapy Facials - This type of facial uses essential oils that are chosen to meet your skin's needs. These type of facials are used more for relaxation rather than deep-cleansing.
